Wardogs runs Easy Anti-Cheat, a kernel-level anti-cheat. Bulkhead also works with a third-party provider that looks for cheating behaviour and linked accounts, and it bans in waves after watching suspects. Steam Family Sharing was switched off in September 2026 to stop banned players coming back on shared libraries.
In practice: a build that worked yesterday can need an update after a patch, a ban usually ties back to your hardware, and playing like a human matters. That is why every listing shows its live status, and why a HWID spoofer is worth having if you have been banned before.

Easy Anti-Cheat, which runs at kernel level, plus a third-party service that looks for cheating behaviour and linked accounts. Bans tend to come in waves rather than instantly.
What happens to my cheat when Wardogs updates?
We watch the Steam build. When it changes, every Wardogs product is marked Updating until its developer confirms it still works or ships a new build. If an outage runs long, the lost time is added back to active subscriptions.
Do I need a HWID spoofer for Wardogs?
Only if your hardware is already banned. Easy Anti-Cheat bans are tied to your hardware, so a new Steam account alone will not get you back in. A spoofer hides those IDs; it does not unban an account.
